My Neighbor My Hero, Inc. (MNMH) is a Faith based and well-respected, growing 501(c)(3) Organization (nonprofit organization) that alleviates the burdens faced by individuals and families that have little or no access to health care, Education and food supplies. Developed with the dedication to providing compassionate and life saving health services to thousands of families across the globe, our organization provides many disadvantaged individuals with a thorough foundation for future success. My Neighbor My Hero, Inc.’s purpose is to facilitate medical mission trips in Africa.
Recognizing the needs that exist among our target population, My Neighbor My Hero, Inc.’s representatives have established a community of medical professionals that serve the economically vulnerable population that would otherwise be unable to access essential medical care. Throughout continuation of the proposed activities, our organization will address the needs of our target communities and brighten lives. Our organization’s objectives are accomplished by implementation of stimulating activities and materials that are organized around a well-developed prospectus.
My Neighbor My Hero, Inc. strives to serve as many people as possible with the resources we have available – every individual is important to our organization and we will not discriminate against anyone. By offering services that are concentrated on serving those less fortunate and addressing the greatest needs of our target community, we can make a positive contribution in helping those we work with lead a more fulfilling life.
My Neighbor My Hero, Inc. will proudly facilitate medical mission trips that provide preventative and primary care to the public at large. Our experienced team of medical professionals will travel to Africa twice a year to provide a variety of medical services that may include, but are not limited to, administering vaccinations, performing minor surgeries, and educating the public on the steps they may take to living a healthy lifestyle. It is our intention to restore each individual we serve to a condition of optimal health and provide them with the educational tools necessary. As our resources increase, our directors will increase the frequency of the trips and expand our travels to other developing regions. We realized that hunger is the worst health challenges faced by the people as a result, we distribute food and other relief materials through our food bank distributing center.
Representatives of My Neighbor My Hero, Inc. will also visit local jails in the United States throughout the year. During this time, our experienced medical professionals will speak on subjects that are related to practicing healthy lifestyles and preventative measures. We aspire to prepare these participants for success upon release into society. We also support qualified struggling families who as a result of life challenges such as divorce, loss of work etc. with up to 3 months to enable them, interested families or individuals must summit an application providing details of their last employment.
Within the upcoming fiscal year, our organization will acquire a corporate office facility that will allow our directors to increase our local programming & services. This facility will allow My Neighbor My Hero, Inc. to implement a life skills training center and mentorship program for community members of all ages within Des Moines, Iowa. In addition, we will also be able to provide short term housing services to at-risk families that have been affected by medical and financial difficulties.
Our activities are overseen by a group of well-qualified individuals. Our diverse staff members have ties to the community, and thus possess the unique ability to relate to the target demographic. Additionally, our Board of Directors is comprised of a professional group of talented individuals who are dedicated to committing their time and resources to building a stronger community.
